why we're building this
finding clothes shouldn't feel like this
you know the feeling. you open instagram and it's the same rotation of sponsored posts, influencer deals, and “recommended for you” carousels that clearly weren't. everything looks like an ad because everything is an ad.
there's more product out there than ever before, but somehow it's harder than ever to find things you actually want to wear. you end up scrolling for an hour and closing the app with nothing to show for it. and when you do find something, there's this nagging feeling that you only saw it because someone paid for you to.
the best recommendations have always come from people. a friend who sends you a link because they saw something and immediately thought of you. someone who just gets your taste without you having to explain it. that kind of thing doesn't scale, but the feeling should.
that's what we wanted to build. not another app to check, not another feed to scroll. just something that actually pays attention to how you dress and what catches your eye, then goes and finds more of it. something that works for you, not for the brands paying for placement.
auris doesn't care what's trending. it doesn't push whatever pays the highest commission. it learns the specific thing that makes you pick up one jacket and walk past a hundred others, and it uses that to look in places you wouldn't think to check.
no app to open. no feed to check. just a conversation in your messages, and pieces that feel right showing up when they exist.
